we made it to the tournament

After a full school year of training, practiceing and working hard the hofstra womens lacrosse team which i am part of reached one of are goals of making it to the CAA tournament which is a tournament that we have made in the past two or three years. this is a big accomplishment for are team but we arent done. now comes more hard work to fixed what needs to be fixed and so this way we go into the tournamnet confident and strong and ready to play. it is really exciting and i am so excited that we have this opportunity that we must take advantage of. its so exciting even though its definatly going to be a little stressful balanceing inishing my work for all my classes and then studying for finals and haveing lacrosse at the same time but after it is all done it is definatly going to be worth it. im so excited and cant wait to see what happenes. here we go PRIDE!!

ever be reminded of someone who has passed on

So this weekend i had two lacrosse games in Virginia, we won the first one and lost the second we are doing pretty well in the caas so far. but over this trip we stayed at a hotel, obviously , but on Saturday the day before our JMU game i was on the elevator waiting for an older woman to get on so we can go down to the 1st floor. finally when the women stepped on the elevator i got a whiff of the perfume she was wearing. it was a smell that i haven't smelt in a long time but i definitely recognized it. after thinking for a couple of seconds trying to figure out what it smelt like it finally hit me, it was the smell of my grandmother how passed away about seven years ago. after figuring this out i was kinda happy because it was nice to smell my grandmother again.

Caas week 1

so after a fast weekend and the first weekend of CAAs i can say that we started off strong. we won our 2 games against ODU and William and Marry. it is a good start for us because it brought us two wins closer to making the tournament. we played pretty well but we still have things to work on, no matter what u do their is always room for improvement; that's how i think. i find it hard to believe that we only have 5 ga,es left in this season; it is crazy how fast time flue by. with one day off a week and the rest consumed of lacrosse practice, school and games these next four weeks are going to go even faster. But i am just taking one day at a time and working as hard as i can to us my time diligently and productively to get the most out of what i am doing. Cant wait till this weekend when we play two more games that give us a chance to win and do well and accomplish are goal. should be great.

CAAs

Spring brake has come and gone and now i am in the final stretch of my first year of college. its weird to think that i am almost done but i love it because i could definitely us some down time meaning that i have nothing to do. with lacrosse everyday and many assignments due i have very little free time these days but i dont mind that much because its just making time go faster. i am in the second half of my season now so practices are harder and the games count more then they did before. the games we play from now until the end of april are our CAA games which means we have to win in order to get into the tournament which is something that our team is very capable of doing. its so exciting and i cant wait to play these games becasue i know they are going to be so much more intense and to win these games and to win CAAs is something we have been working all year long to accomplish. now is when all the hard work of waking up at 430 in the morning to lift and practicing for 3 hours a day pays off. its now or never for the rest of this season.

spring brake

Final it is spring brake and i am so glad because i could definitely use some down time. By down time i mean just a brake from school because i will still have lacrosse like everyday. but i am excited because this Monday my team and i are flying to California. we are playing stanford on wensday so we are going to be spending four days there. i am just excited to travel even though this is more of a busyness trip then a vacation its nice just to get away sometimes. now that all my classes are over today i am going to just relax and go to practice. all i have to do is focus on lacrosse practice for the next three days and then we fly out. i am sooo excited and i cant wait to see California since i have never been there before. i just cant wait to get away.

beautiful days

The past couple of days have been beautiful and it makes me so happy. I love this kind of weather. It makes me want to spend all my time outside just relaxing in the sun. What i really want to do is just sit in the sun and read a good book for hours and i can not wait until school is over so i can do that. But for now i am pretty busy with homework and lacrosse so it kind of bums me out that i want enjoy the weather the way i want to but i don't mind that much because i know in just a little over a month i will be able to enjoy it without any worries. I do like that at lacrosse practice i only have to ware shorts and a t-shirt compared to a couple of weeks ago when i wore so many layers and it was cold. Yet all in all this weather is wonderful and i really hope it stays like this from now on and that the cold weather doesn't come back until next winter.

summer is almost here

I cannot believe that my first year of college is almost complete. It went by so fast, it is crazy. People always told me that it is going to fly by and I definatly believe them. There is only about eight weeks left and then summer vacation is finally here. Summer time is definatly time that I am looking forward to. I plan on working a lot like I did last year, but I plan on making more money becuase I get out of school much ealier. Even though my four jobs keep me busy I still have plenty of time to do other things with my friends. Things like volleyball and road trips, it is going to be great and I cannot wait for it to finally so i can relax and have a great time with my friends.
